Dine in, takeout dinners and Lodge buffet offer families lots of Easter options

FRANKENMUTH, Mich. – March 23, 2022 – Easter Sunday is an especially exciting time in Frankenmuth and there are a number of excellent ways to celebrate on Sunday, April 17 thanks to the teams at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant and the Bavarian Inn Lodge. Dining options include takeout and dine-in dinners through the Restaurant and a bountiful buffet at the Lodge.

For those interested in the Easter Takeout Dinner, this filling family meal serves six people and is $199 (includes taxes). Orders must be received by Wednesday, April 13 and picked up at designated pick-up times on April 17 either at the Castle Shops north entrance or curbside in the north parking area.

The meal includes a 10-12-pound honey cured, spiral sliced ham, two quarts each of mashed potatoes, buttered noodles, baked dressing, and vegetables along with one quart of gravy, one quart of cole slaw, one quart of cranberry relish, Bavarian Chicken Seasoning and a loaf of homemade bread. A large apple or lemon meringue pie can be added for an additional $15. Substitutions are not available for the takeout dinner but diners can also ask about adding a custom Easter Basket.

The Bavarian Inn Lodge is hosting its annual “Bountiful Easter Buffet” on Sunday, April 17 as well with seating times from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in various banquet and dining rooms. The cost is $39.99 for adults, $20.50 for 8-12 year olds, $13.50 for 3-7 year olds and free to those two years and younger (not including tax and gratuity).

The Easter Buffet includes a wide-ranging list of flavorful items including (but not limited to) the following: Cherry Pecan Salad, Lodge Spring Salad, Italian pasta salad, rolls, steakhouse potato salad, cole slaw, cheese spreads, jello, marinated mushrooms, pancakes, scrambled eggs, famous Frankenmuth Chicken, Maple-glazed baked ham, roasted strip loin, Lodge baked salmon in herb butter, buttered noodles, baked dressing, whipped potatoes and gravy, asparagus and a vegetable medley. Dessert choices include Bavarian Inn Apfel Strudel, Edelweiss Torte, Lodge banana bread, chocolate mousse, fruit salad, Crème Brule and cheese cake minis.
